Cisco had rolled out the revamping of their end-to-end portfolio for networking on this Wednesday including the new optics, software and Silicon which the company has proclaimed is going to carry through the internet in the next few years.
The strategy which is known as the Internet for the Future has the Cisco Silicon One which is an architecture that is the first ever unified and single silicon architecture which can serve at any place in the network and its usage can be in any of its form factors said the company in a statement.
Cisco also has debut the product line known as 8000 series which is a series of the routers that are carrier-class which is the first product set built from the Silicon One and the new operating system IOS X7 of the vendor.
This equipment has been designed for the reduction of costs of operating and building the mass networks for running the digital applications as well as services like the video, cloud and data of 5G.
The new strategy of Cisco has been accompanied by the support of their list of all-star service providers as well as the hypercloud giants that include CenturyLink, Comcast, Google, AT&T among others.
Traditionally a few of these companies have been advocates outspokenly of the software that is open source and the commodity hardware.
The CEO of Cisco has said that they are going to be dedicated towards the transformation of the industry for the building a new era of 5G and new internet. He further added that their recent solutions are representative of the constant innovation which they have been taking up for the customers to stay ahead.
